Senior Consultant

Adrian is a versatile and innovative senior HR professional with extensive experience in the IT sector – UK and worldwide – and also across manufacturing, retail and leisure/hospitality sectors. A pragmatic and commercial HR leader, Adrian is skilled in successfully implementing processes that enhance business effectiveness and deliver significant results. A collaborative communicator, Adrian is focused on building relationships and promoting synergies across departments and resources.

Alice Searle

Delivery Operations Manager

Alice joined Connor as a project manager in 2018 and moved across to manage our Career Transition team in May 2019. Alice brings with her a wealth of experience in operational and transition roles, both from a project management and operations management perspective.

Amy Spavins

Project Consultant

Amy joined Connor in 2017 and provides support to our clients as part of our programme and project management team. She works closely with our clients and the team here at Connor to deliver projects to the high standards our clients expect.

In Amy’s spare time she enjoys painting, exploring and walking her dog, Flo.

Anusha Parshotam

Senior Consultant

Anusha is a commercial, pragmatic and highly focussed executive coach, facilitator and HR consultant. She draws on sound psychological theories, her working experience and balances this with using practical interventions that are fit for purpose for organisations and individual clients. She continues to receive positive feedback for her ability to understand a client, being relevant, her style and knowledge. Over the past year she has focussed on Diversity, Inclusion, Wellbeing and Leadership, working with clients to understand their needs, designing appropriate workshops and facilitating them.

Anusha has over 15 years of experience working in Senior Human Resources roles, working across different sectors (FMCG, Professional Services, Financial Services, Legal Services, Education, Aviation, Public Services, Charities and Start Ups) and geographies (Global remit, Southern Africa and UK). She has extensive experience working strategically with organisations, leaders and people in nurturing talent, building high performance teams, change management, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing. Anusha has coached leaders, Partners, managers and her own direct reports as part of her day to day roles on various topics.

Anusha holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology. She also successfully completed a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching via Henley Business School. She is also a trained team coach and public speaker. She continues her professional development through supervision, networks and other professional affiliations.

Claire Maynard

Project Management

Claire joined Connor in November 2019, and brings with her nearly 20 years’ experience of Change Management from HR and Operational perspectives.  She spent many years in fast paced Retail and Logistics Operations, delivering national change programmes for large corporate organisations, before moving into the public sector and HR strategy.

At Connor she focuses on Project Management and is responsible for building and driving project plans, deliverables, identifying and managing risks, and reporting on progress.​

Claire is a great believer that the best results are achieved by listening to our clients, implementing the most appropriate methodology and systematic approach and using in-house tools where appropriate.  Taking time to understand the challenges and sensitivities surrounding the project is key to mitigate risk and deliver the plan.​

In Claire’s spare time she enjoys quality time with her family and two young boys and is learning Spanish in the hope that one day she will be fluent and able to understand her bilingual children before they conspire against her!

Claire says:

David Honour

Delivery Operations Consultant

David spent many years working as a recruitment consultant and then an outplacement consultant before joining Connor in 2014.

As a project consultant, David is a central point of contact for the clients and people we support. He is often involved from initial engagement through to completion of their outplacement service, and is passionate about ensuring that every person we support receives an exceptional experience that is tailored to their individual needs.

David spent over 15 years as a recruitment consultant and 5 years as an outplacement consultant before joining Connor in 2014. In his nine years as a freelance consultant, he provided recruitment services to clients ranging from SMEs to blue-chip organisations, as well as outplacement services to over 700 individuals referred from private organisations and government-backed programmes for unemployed professionals.

In David’s spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and his two younger, children cheering them on while they’re on the football pitch!

David says:

“Customer service is everything. I am passionate about doing the right thing and making a difference to the people we support as they go through what can often be a very difficult time in their lives.”

Fraser Silvey

Managing Director

With over 25 years’ HR and consulting experience, Fraser works alongside Julia and Paul to help our clients identify how we can help their organisations to evolve and thrive through their people.

As a member of the board, Fraser also plays an active part in driving the strategic direction of the business as Connor continues on its exciting growth journey.

Before joining Connor, Fraser worked in engineering and construction companies in various roles, from heading up the recruitment function on the Channel Tunnel rail link project to managing the HR on overseas construction projects in Nigeria, Norway and Kazakhstan. Fraser has a degree in psychology and a master’s degree in criminal justice. He is also MCIPD qualified.

In his spare time, Fraser is a trustee of the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service in Berkshire. He enjoys travelling, spending time with his family, physical challenges and all kinds of ball sports.

Fraser says:

Helen Arnold

Helen has worked as part of the Connor team for around 15 years, supporting various clients and projects.  She is a commercially focused HR professional who enjoys helping clients to deal with HR issues and projects effectively.

She believe that a well-planned strategy is only worth having it if is implemented effectively, so as well as helping top-level management find those solutions in the Boardroom,  she likes to get involved at the hands-on level to deliver, and ensure clients resolve organisational and employee relations issues effectively, always mindful of the commercial issues, realities, and “bottom line” impact.

Isobel Hammond

Senior Consultant

Isobel is a chartered MCIPD HR professional with over 27 years’ business and HR experience. Her career has included working in a variety of sectors from financial services, accountancy, media and publishing to name a few.

She is equally adept at delivering projects as she is at providing full generalist HR Support and is experienced and comfortable with working to senior management and teams.

Isobel has previously been the in-house Head of HR for a mid-size private equity firm and publishing and event management firm. She has broad range of experience, from tackling daily operational people issues to restructures and complex employee relations issues. She is a highly driven and committed individual who leads the way in facing new challenges pulling out all the stops to achieve targets and objectives. 

Jed Brazell

Financial Accountant

Jed joined Connor as an apprentice in 2014 and provides support for the finance team and wider business. He manages all our day-to-day financial matters, and has also owned a variety of data management and support projects during his time at Connor. Jed is qualified in AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and is currently training to be CIMA qualified.

In Jed’s spare time, he enjoys socialising with friends and travelling around the world.

Jed says:

Jo Bristow

Training Services Delivery Expert

Jo joined Connor in October 2018, and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the People Development centre of expertise. She is also a consultant and an accredited VoicePrint coach, designing and delivering development initiatives to organisations, teams and individuals.

She is a member of the CIPD and holds a level-5 diploma in HR management as well as a professional certificate in coaching from Henley Business School. With 20 years of commercial and operational management roles behind her, Jo brings a wealth of practical experience to her role.

Jo enjoys keeping fit by playing netball in the local league and enjoys travelling with her husband and children.

Julia Nickless

Director – People Development and Parental Returners

Julia has been with Connor since 2015, initially to set up and lead our Client Partnership team then as Director for our People Development and Parental Returner services. She works with our clients to identify how we can help their organisations to evolve and thrive through their people.

With over 15 years’ experience work in people, HR and commercial leadership space, Julia is all about getting under the skin of what will enable real, sustainable change for the individual, team or whole organisation. She has a deep love for learning and the dynamics of nature and nurture. She is a member of the British Psychological society and a passionate believer in boundaryless development.

Julia says:

Julie Stephens

Finance Director

Having known Paul and Fraser for more than 20 years in a professional capacity, Julie joined the Board at Connor, to help support us with the business as it is now, and help build it for the future.

Julie’s background is as a Fellow of the ACCA, she have been qualified for many years and has had the opportunity to hone her Finance and accounting skills in many industries, mostly in hi-tech and services, where the challenges of a fast paced and ever changing environment suited her very well.

Having the opportunity to work closely with Paul, Fraser and the Connor team, has been a breath of fresh air, it has been a really exciting experience and one that I enjoy daily, and I very much look forward to continuing into the future.

Lucinda Barfoot-Saunt

Senior Client Partner

Lucinda joined Connor in October 2017, and works with key clients to help them understand and identify their HR needs.

Lucinda has significant senior-level sales experience, with a rich and diverse background from the likes of Yell to the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She has a straightforward, pragmatic approach and an impeccable eye for detail that helps her work with clients to get to the root of a problem quickly, and provide effective solutions.

In her spare time, Lucinda enjoys road trips and going to festivals with friends and family in her classic VW camper van.

Lucinda says:

Mona Smith

Senior Consultant

Mona is a commercially focused HR leader with proven expertise in leadership, personal effectiveness, employee relations, coaching, organisational design and development and training conception and delivery. She has the sophisticated interpersonal and facilitation skills required in fast paced, changing environments. Mona has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, TUPE and outsourcing, company rationalisations and improvement and capability transformations.

Her background includes experience at senior level within multinational organisations working internationally in Europe, Asia and North America. She has a solid background in operational and strategic HR which is focused on the needs of the business.

Paul Connor

Projects Delivery Director

Paul established Connor in 1992 and has over 30 years’ experience in a variety of senior HR and business roles.

Paul says:

Rhiannon Rowley

Outplacement Services Expertise Manager

Rhiannon joined Connor in 2018, and is responsible for the day-to-day running of our Career Transition centre of expertise. She works closely with clients in the UK and internationally to make sure everyone receiving Connor’s transition support has a positive, high-quality experience.

Rhiannon has over 10 years’ experience in learning and people development roles, and is a qualified business psychologist. She enjoys combining a range of tools and models along with practical, hands-on experience to ensure Connor’s career transition support helps people in the most effective way, geared to their individual needs.

Rhiannon says:

“People are at the heart of every decision we make at Connor, and I am proud that everything we do in career transition is designed to give maximum benefit to our clients and candidates to get them to where they want to be, as quickly as possible.”

Simon Milner

Delivery & Operations Director

Simon joined Connor in 2016 and since then, has worked as a senior consultant and project manager on a number of large, high profile, international change projects. Simon now heads up our programme management function, looking after internal and client-facing projects and programmes. Simon has over 20 years of business and generalist HR expertise from working on complex restructuring projects like site closures through to TUPE programmes.

Simon is MCIPD qualified and has a post-graduate diploma in personnel management.

Simon says:

“I like delivering projects and providing strategic thinking. I’m also comfortable with running large projects and teams. My role at Connor enables me to do this for a range of clients and this makes it a challenging, interesting place to work.”

Sue Foxley

Outplacement Delivery Expert

Sue joined Connor in 2008 and has helped make the organisation what it is today. She works with our customers to shape and deliver tailored programmes, and with individuals to deliver our career and transition coaching.

Sue has a broad business background with roles in recruitment, finance and HR, and established and ran her own business for 12 years. She is an accomplished coach who enjoys helping people reach their goals, and organisations to realise their people potential. She is accredited in VoicePrint and McQuaig, and as a Personal performance coach.

Sue is passionate about wellness and adventure; she enjoys teaching yoga, global travel, being active and spending time with family and friends outside of work.

Sunaina McDonald

Senior Consultant

Su joined Connor in 2019 and has “exceeded expectations” resulting in new projects for repeat clients.

Due to Su’s broader business background her expertise extends beyond HR so she always brings a fully rounded commercial viewpoint to the table – something senior stakeholders always appreciate.  Her approach is flexible and inclusive, she has a flair for getting to the nub of the issue.  Whether its legal contracts; HR policies; restructuring; HR Services or Employee Relations, Su deploys her extensive toolkit to work with clients to identify their needs providing compelling and effective support.

Su is a rare breed, combining HR and Business Development expertise.  As a Business Growth Mentor Su takes businesses on a highly profitable growth journey using simple to implement tactics and strategies.  She is the co-author of ‘How To Grow Your Business On A Tight Budget.

Her highly commercial and diverse background in the public and private sector from global to small businesses enables her to move seamlessly and effectively in a range of business environments.  Su understands that her success is the client’s success.

Tim Kemp

Head of Executive Outplacement

Tim joined Connor in 2019, after a career including being HR Director for Unisys and headhunting for the likes of Korn Ferry and ZRG Partners. Tim ensures that our executive outplacement service continues to lead the market in providing high-touch, high-impact bespoke outplacement support.

Tim is chair of our board and a strategic thinker who is focused on improving business performance.

Tim is the past National President and past Chairman of the Professional Speaking Association He’s an accredited coach with The Core Asset helping smaller businesses with their marketing and business growth.

His background is in financial management and career highlights include Madge Networks which grew from 50 to more than 2000 employees and went public on NASDAQ with a 76% compound annual growth rate. Tim was responsible for Madge’s business across Asia Pacific opening 11 sales offices across the region.

Tim was later the UK MD of Black Box, an IT distribution & networking business.
