Recent research by the CIPD, has found that almost half (47%) of UK employers don’t have a dedicated diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEI&B) strategy in place. This remains a frustrating figure. The accountability of people in leadership positions needs to increase and we must encourage more honest conversations between employees and their managers. But, we also recognise it’s not easy and often uncomfortable.
