This month, Connor went Gung Ho as we took on the 5 kilometre fun run, to raise money for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Charity.
The run itself is divided into ten inflatable obstacle challenges. Seven members of the Connor outplacement team completed the course in just under one hour, helping each other over inflatable climbing walls, through giant ball pits, across a giant moon walk and down the UK’s largest inflatable slide! It was an enjoyable and inspirational day, with hundreds of people coming together to raise money for various charities across the UK.
We had a great time on a beautiful day and the fact that the cause is one that we believe in so passionately was the icing on the cake. We are so proud of what Fiona Devine the charity’s founder and the rest of the team have done and we look forward to playing a small part in maintaining the fundraising momentum over the years to come.
Connor has been touched by the level of support they have received for this event, which has resulted in them raising over £2,500 towards the charity’s key project – building Berkshire’s first ever children’s hospice.
“As a small local charity developing a care team to support local children and building a local children’s hospice, your support is a massive benefit to us.”
