Jon's role involves managing day-to-day operations, including connecting in with associates, to ensure Connor is delivering a high standard of work to clients across the business. He also plays a key role in developing new opportunities, providing technical expertise to clients so he can not only build relationships, but also help scope out the right solution for them.
Jon earned his degree as a journalist but about 14 years ago, he made a sideways move into HR. Since then, Jon has worked with a wide range of organisations in both the public and private sectors, and before joining Connor he worked at a professional services company for 6 years, the last of which he headed up a team of 40 people working to provide the business with high quality and timely HR support.
A key transferable skill from journalism to HR was his ability to work with people. Jon enjoys the variety and challenges that come with this role, working with a wide range of clients to improve their organisations and/or help them through challenging issues.
In Jon's spare time, he likes to play football and golf, and he is a Spurs season ticket holder. He also likes to daydream about the Italian isle of Sardinia — after a couple of trips there, he is hoping the third isn’t far away!
